Gyprock Base Coat is a setting-type powder jointing compound, mixed with water to a workable paste. It is used with jointing tape for the tape coat and second coat in a three-coat plasterboard jointing system, and gives strong tape adhesion and joint strength. Finish with a Gyprock topping or all-purpose compound.

Base Coat 45 has a working life of about 45 minutes for medium projects. Base Coat 60 has a working life of about 60 minutes for medium to large projects. Sold in 20kg bags.
