Our open cell backing rod is a flexible, compressible foam insert designed to support sealants in joints and control sealant depth. Made from open cell polyurethane foam, it allows air and moisture to pass through, assisting with proper sealant curing in ventilated applications.
Ideal for use in expansion joints, precast concrete, window and door frames, and general construction. It helps create a cleaner finish, reduces sealant waste, and prevents three-sided adhesion.
