Soudal Firecryl FR Fire Rated Acrylic Sealant 600mL

Firecryl FR is a fire resistant, smoke tight, plasto-elastic sealant based on acrylic dispersion, for interior use. It dries physically, can be painted over once cured, and intumesces when exposed to temperatures above 120°C to stop the passage of fire and smoke.

Use it to seal fire-retardant joints in walls and ceilings, as part of penetration seals, and for fire-retardant filling of cracks in concrete and plasterwork. Soudal has tested it with PE backing rod to AS 1530.4 and AS 4072.1 in Australian wall systems. The fire resistance level achieved depends on the joint configuration and dimensions — install it exactly as the test report describes, and confirm the detail with your fire engineer or certifier.

Suits common porous building substrates; prime highly porous surfaces with diluted Firecryl FR (1 part to 2 parts water). Not suitable for natural stone, bitumen, glass or metal, or where it will be continuously immersed in water.
